STOP

UGH. I can't catch up. I just can't do it.

I think I have a virus very similar to hand foot and mouth disease. The night we returned to HOT Kansas I had a 103 fever. (Let me tell you how fun that 2 hour shuttle ride was...) Now I have very painful red spots on my hands and feet, and blisters in my throat.

It took every ounce of energy I had to run three loads of dishes yesterday, but the rest of the house is still in shambles. Bills and mail and laundry and car problems... I could fill a swimming pool with the photos I have yet to upload, edit, and organize. I haven't blogged because I don't even know where to start.

CAN WE JUST FREEZE FOR A SECOND?! Mama needs some time! (And a nap!)

Oh, my dear...it will get there. Hubby can help with housework/baby care too, if he isn't already!

Don't worry about blogging. Don't worry about photo editing. You'll get there. First, you need to get better. REST. I think illnesses are often God's way of reminding us to stop and listen for him, to focus more on Christ than our own lives, to "Be still and know that he is God".

I'll be praying for you!

Oh no, that really sucks! I hope you feel better soon and that God will give you the peace you need to stop worrying about all you need to get done. I struggle with that alot and I constantly wish I could freeze time so I could just take a break and get caught up to things. Hang in there Kayla, normal should return soon!

Oh hon - I totally feel for you. We're dealing with Chicken pox here - not me but the little guy. So I know how worn out you must be feeling. Nothing worse than when Mama's sick - cause Mama doesn't really get to be sick.

Oh I can completely sympathize - that was me three weeks ago! Hope you feel better soon! Oh and don't worry about the house...it will still be messy when you're feeling better... :D

One thing at a time, and congratulate yourself for each and every thing you accomplish. Even if it's something as simple as making the bed. It's the only way I get thru most days! Feel better...

Aw! I hope you're feeling better soon! And give yourself a break. Do what can't wait and forget (for now) what can. Hugs!

the beauty of blogging - totally freezable. :) You focus your attention on getting better, we'll focus our prayers on it, and it'll all come back around.

While I was working today there was an old episode of Oprah on talking about a miracle-type doctor who did surgeries without anesthetics and took a very spiritual approach to things - long story but not all of it is important except one bit that I thought was very interesting. Someone on the show mentioned that this doctor's prescriptions were different for every patient, even patients with identical symptoms or diseases. The comment they made was, "We're all learning from whatever ails us - learning how to live with and around and through it. And it's going to be different for every person, but ultimately - whatever the outcome - we are going to learn something about how to be the best version of ourselves." (I paraphrased hugely, but anyways.) I thought it was such an interesting (but so easily applicable to and what should be obvious for Christians) approach to sickness.

Ok. Sorry for the novel. But I was thinking it, and I know you love comments. ;)
