Summers in Wisconsin include many trips to the beach. For a pasty white girl the July sun means one killer sunburn. (Aloe has become my best friend.) I'm really going to miss Lake Michigan.
The water was like ice. That didn't stop us from jumping monstrous waves the wind had created. It was Levi's first time to the lake, but he decided to fall asleep after just thirty minutes of taking in the scene. It was also my canon's first trip, and I was scared to death of all the havoc the sand and water could have wreaked upon the little rebel. Thankfully my extra precautions paid off, and I came home with beautiful photos I will longingly stare at when I'm in Kansas.
You think my mom will treasure this photo?
Howbout you? Do you love a sunny day at the beach?

Your photos are GORGEOUS! I'm glad you guys had such a good time!
Love it. I went home this weekend too. Cottage country is where I'm from, and I relish in it, I was so sad because I wanted to stay forever (actually, just until Fall).
Great pictures :)
Oh, what pretty photos!! I do love a day at the beach! And...I'm also a pasty girl who sunburns easily!!
You'll definitely miss that beach.
I know I miss being close to anything resembling a warm weather beach! I think I'm ready to leave Alaska for that very reason. I need some sun and sand!
Great photos! Also glad to hear that you had fun with the little guy and it really stinks you have to move away from the Lake. It is a nice place to just go and relax.
Beautiful! We love lake michigan too! (my inlaws live in NW indiana.) Thanks for visiting my blog (your little dude is 2 weeks older than my youngest, BTW.)
Beautiful photos!i LOVE the beach, but instead of sand and waves we have mountains and snow.:)
Oh, Lake Michigan...I miss you so! I grew up on the other side of the lake in West Michigan. : )
By the way...if you go to Mom's Toolbox, you can still sign up for the 90 Day Bible read, if you want. The link is on my blog!
Such great photos! I love days at the beach, especially when I go to Spain. The beach is amazing there. Luckily, I'll be moving to North Carolina where I'll only be 20 minutes from Atlantic beach so I'm sure I will be there quite often =)
We don't have many beaches in SW MO... unless you go to the lake, but does that technically count? I'm going to get to see Lake Michigan later this year though, i'm excited!
Wow! I love all the pictures you got!!! I'm glad you had a good time on the beach! And yes, your mom will treasure that picture forever!
I'm a late commentor b/c I'm just catching up on blogs. But that shot of you holding up your little Tator Tot makes me smile. You guys look so happy!
